Formation and interaction patterns in social crowdsourcing environments

چکیده
Over the past years, the web has transformed from a pool of statically linked information to a people-centric web. Various web-based tools and social services have become available enabling people to communicate, coordinate, and collaborate in a distributed manner. In this work, we consider social crowdsourcing environments that are based on the capabilities of human-provided services (HPS) and software-based services (SBS). Unlike traditional crowdsourcing platforms, we consider collaborative environments where people and software services jointly perform tasks. We propose formation and interaction patterns that are based on social principles. The idea of our social crowdsourcing approach is that interactions emerge dynamically at runtime based on social preferences among actors. The evolution of interactions is guided by a monitoring and control feedback cycle to recommend competitive compositions and to adjust interaction behaviour. Here we present fundamental formation patterns including link mesh and broker-based formations. We discuss the prototype implementation of our service-oriented crowdsourcing framework.

Supporting Multilevel Incentive Mechanisms in Crowdsourcing Systems: an Artifact-centric View
Crowdsourcing systems of the future (e.g., Social Compute Units — SCUs, collective adaptive systems) need to support complex collaborative processes, such as software development. This presupposes deploying ad-hoc assembled teams of human and machine services that actively collaborate and communicate among each other, exchanging different artifacts and jointly processing them. Major challenges ...
متن کاملDiscovery and Formation Models for Socio-computational Crowd Environments
Service-oriented computing is an emerging paradigm to realize extensible large-scale systems. As interactions and compositions spanning multiple enterprises become increasingly commonplace, organizational boundaries appear to be diminishing. The emergence of service-oriented systems has paved the way for a new computing paradigm that not only applies to softwarebased services (SBS) but also hum...
متن کاملPerform Three Data Mining Tasks with Crowdsourcing Process
For data mining studies, because of the complexity of doing feature selection process in tasks by hand, we need to send some of labeling to the workers with crowdsourcing activities. The process of outsourcing data mining tasks to users is often handled by software systems without enough knowledge of the age or geography of the users' residence. Uncertainty about the performance of virtual user...
متن کاملThe Effectiveness of Social Skills training Based on Ozonoff Social Cognition Pattern on Empathy and Social Interaction of Children with High Functioning Autism
Background and Purpose: Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that occurs in the first three years of a childchr('39')s life. The most important symptoms are communication failure, difficulty in social interactions, limited and repetitive patterns in behavior, interests and activities. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of social skills training bas...
متن کاملTowards Social Crowd Environments Using Service-Oriented Architectures Soziale Crowd Umgebungen mittels Service-orientierter Architekturen
Crowdsourcing has emerged as an important paradigm of human problem solving techniques on the Web. More often than noticed, organizations outsource tasks to humans which cannot be processed by software. In this work we demonstrate the application of service-oriented architectures (SOA) for enterprise crowdsourcing. Crowdsourcing applications typically utilize the capabilities of people in open ...
